My little step nephew Fin

This is my new little step nephew Fin Derrin and he is totally adorable. He is about 7 weeks old and on Sunday we met him for the first time. Noah loves he new little cuzzy.

Introducing Clancy / Sqwid Jnr

On Friday Noah and I went to visit our friends Ruth and Sqwid and we met their lovely new baby boy Clancy. He was a little darling the whole time we were there. I got to enjoy lots of cuddles and Noah enjoyed looking at Clancy. Ruth was doing an amazing job as a new Mummy. She most certainly did not look like she gave birth only one week ago. Richard and I hope to share many special times with them and we look forward to watching our boys grow up and play together; just like their Dads did before them.

We are outta here

We are off to Perth tomorrow morning. We are going to see Nanna Dee and we are very excited. I told Noah tonight that he could pack his own case. I told him what to grab and I let him throw it in his case. The psychotic, neat freak part of me was saying "I'll repack it later so it doesn't get so creased up" but I left it just as Noah had packed it; all chucked in and messy. I thought Nanna Dee might have a laugh when she sees just how Noah packed his bag!!

Trying to get his case shut....... it was just like out of a movie

My friend Michelle

Today Noah and I went to Kellerberrin to have lunch with an old school friend of mine. I have not seen Michelle properly in ages so it was so lovely to see her again and meet her little boy Kaleb. Kaleb is 6 months older than Noah. It was gorgeous watching the two boys together, at least while Noah was being good. Kaleb was so well behaved but Noah was a total delinquent. He was embarrassing. He threw himself on the floor, taught Kaleb how to climb all over the chairs, tried to climb on the table and rubbed sticky fingers everywhere. Noah certainly kept me busy over lunch.

Stratigically placed dinosaurs

Guarding the stereo
and the TV

Noah is terrified of dinosaurs. He got a couple of really awesome dinosaurs for Christmas but he hates them. Rather than put them away in the cupboard, until he is ready to start enjoying them, I have placed them around the house to guard some of our most prized possessions. They work a treat!!!

Needle

Noah had his 18 month check-up today, even though he is actually closer to 20 months (whoopsy), and he also had one immunisation needle for the chicken pox virus. We go for these check-ups with our local child health nurse in Cunderdin. Our child health nurse is Cath and she is so lovely and thorough. Noah even likes her after she has given him his needles. Now we won't have to see Cath again until Noah is around 3 years of age. We were lucky enough to have Cath do home visits for the first 3 months or so when Noah was born. It was really helpful as I found it pretty hard to get out of the house and all the way into town with a newborn. She always made me feel confident in what I was doing and she always had plenty of good advice. We will miss seeing nurse Cath.

confused???

Noah has started to use his potty as a normal chair. Today he also grabbed some "toilet paper" out of the cupboard to use while he was on the potty. He got out around 600 metres of paper towel rather than actual toilet paper. He also got some reading material to peruse while on the potty. I think he might be a bit confused about the whole potty thing!

Yesterday my cousin Rochelle, her husband Leigh and their three kids came for a visit. It was so nice to have them over and they stayed for most of the day which was great. The kids had a swim in the spa, a play in the cubby house and they watched some movies together. It was so lovely to see Noah get along with his cousins. Hopefully he will continue to adore his cousins; just as I adore mine.

Hallelujah

Richard is finally helping me to make the yard a bit more appealing. He is actually quite the handy man! Pigs do fly!!

Thirsty animals

Filling up his little paddle pool and watering the plants. Jumped in with his clothes on. Look closely at the corks he is playing with. Frank was thirsty. Very very thirsty. It was really funny apparently. Then Bonnie was thirsty too.

A couple more pics to make you smile

After sitting in the pool of water with his clothes on I decided to strip Noah down. After 5 or so minutes of playing I noticed something hilarious. You can imagine how much I was laughing when I saw that he had a wine cork wedged in between his little butt cheeks. Too funny!!! I can only presume that he sat on the cork and when he got up the cork got wedged in between his little buns of steel.
