Boyisms

Boy, oh boy, oh boy I love you!! This is a collection of photos from the past two months that showcase just how much Noah has grown and turned into a little boy. Of course a lot of other things have being happening in his world, other than just boyisms, but crazy boy behaviour is certainly dominating at the moment.
The toddler hair was lopped off mid December (sob sob) and ever since Noah has seemed so much more grown up in appearance and behaviour.

Richard teaching Noah how to restrain baddies, which in Noah's mind is super important!

For Christmas this year I bought Noah and Richard a speed boat toy to bond over. The boat only arrived last week in the post so the boys took it down to the dam for a test run. Noah fell in the water, kinda, sorta on purpose!! He actually had more fun throwing massive boulders into the water and chasing poor Bonnie around with a stick. The cute 'sailor' shirt Noah is wearing was a complete fluke. I have only just realised now.

Noah deliberately closes his eyes when I point my camera at him. Little does he know that he is actually helping me to create one of my all time favourite shots of him. I love his lashes and him being difficult and putting his head down gives a great angle.

A stick can be used for a variety of imaginary play. Fishing is BIG NEWS at the moment.

An oldie from September 2011

Noah still enjoys painting only when Daddy's not home, no action movies or cartoons are on and when he is bored outta his mind. He puts very little effort into art and craft which breaks my heart at times. I think I need to come to grips with the fact that maybe he is not creative, or maybe just not yet. He is however interested in doing activity books. Noah's passion for 'school work' was sparked when I told him Rohan, Campbell, Alex, Lexi, Claire and Brooklyn were all off to big school this year. Only one more year left of Playgroup for you Noah darling.
Thanks for making every photo taking session difficult Noah darling. You make me try harder and get better.

Wizards, super heros and baddies are awesome.

Noah's Dad is by far way cooler than me. I am sad to say that we (Noah and I) have reached that point in our relationship together where he no longer feels the need to follow me everywhere and adore me. If there is a choice between being with Mummy or Daddy you can bet money on it that Noah will choose to be with his Daddy. This happened early January and it is killing me. Richard says "well now you know how I felt for the first 3 years". I need another small person to worship me  :(
Yes he can run pretty fast now.

Making Nanna Dee and Nanna Laurel compete in running races. Noah likes the races to be very official.. On your marks, get set, GO. Only the winner gets to do a victory dance at the end.

Love, love, loves the beach. It feels like I am tormenting him bringing him back to this desert like environment that is our home.

Tackled some of the bigger slides at Adventure World on his own.

Little fish. Noah adores the water and is starting to get quite confident with his swimming. I think he swims really well for someone his age. He loves it when I push him right to the bottom of the pool so he can collect things off the bottom. He has finally learnt to come up for a breath and then put his head back down to keep going. When he did it for the first time I felt so PROUD.

I can't stand how you don't need me as much anymore Noah xoxo

  1. Awwww...your little Noah is so adorable, and boy how he has grown up! So cool to see.

We also have a little boy named noah, so it's fun to meet another Noah's mom, and Noah's dad. :)

    You guys keep rocking!
