Pre Halloween Fun

We are having an absolute ball here with all the  pre Halloween celebrations. Last Saturday morning we went to a pumpkin Patch to pick a pumpkin for Raph to carve at the neighbourhood Halloween party. Every year the guys from this neighbourhood are in charge of carving their families pumpkin, the children all get to vote on their favourite finished pumpkin. Apparently the pumpkin carving is improving every year. We were so warmly welcomed by Mackenzie's neighbours - it felt wonderful to be apart of it, as I have enjoyed looking at Mackenzie's photos every year from the event. The best bit - which nearly made me cry - was when the men organised a haunted house for the children down in the basement. It really was so spectacular and they ALL played their part so well. I just LOVE seeing Dad's do stuff like that for their kids. We are very excited to be going Trick or Treating tomorrow night!

Home of the Cabbage Patch Kid

Last Friday we visited Babyland General hospital with the kids and Mackenzie's husband Raph. Raph flew in from Brazil that morning and the kids begged him to come with us - if he wasn't so desperate to spend some time with his kids we highly doubt he would have come. The boys (Cabe & Noah) found the whole experience less than thrilling - both complained that they didn't really like it. Mackenzie and I loved it. I can't believe I got to watch actual Cabbage Patch births - it really was quite hilarious. We were all shocked when Lea refused to take a new doll home with her - we actually left that place with NOT ONE DOLL.
