An abundance of love, smiles and flowers

On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Margaret and Peter's wedding. The day was amazing. It was so scary and exciting for me to be photographing a wedding on my own. Margaret asked me about 3 months ago if I would do it. I was a little reluctant but did say yes. I am so happy that I did it, the best part about it all was just spending time with Margaret and Molly. It was so lovely to feel so involved in Margaret's special day. It was nice to finally meet Peter too. What a lovely, lovely guy you are Peter! How blissfully happy you two will be for the rest of your lives. A perfect match.

This grandfather clock is rather significant to Margaret and Peter. It was the first 'big item' they purchased together. Peter has a thing for clocks and apparently Margaret needed a fair amount of persuading into purchasing this clock. The clock chimes every quarter of an hour, which is rather helpful while preparing for your wedding day!! This clock demands attention; hence the photos.

So at 1pm on Saturday 24th of March 2012 ....

Miss Molly had her make-up done in preparation for her mother's wedding. She looked picture perfect even before the make-up (see below).

Margaret made Peter's boutonniere. It was interesting watching what a florist does on the day of her own wedding.

At 1:20pm Margaret watered the beautiful creations she made for her ceremony.

At 1:30pm the make-up artist checked Molly's make-up against the colour of her dress.

At 1:35pm Margaret's make-up went on.

Meanwhile, I got busy taking photos of 'the gear'.

At 2pm Margaret dressed her daughter in the most beautiful bridesmaid dress.

Margaret's hands, while in action, deserve to be photographed. These hands are so very clever. Margaret is so skilled in floristry and piano.

At 2:20pm Margaret was STILL fiddling with her bouquet.

At 2:30pm the dress went on. Margaret's friend Victoria was there to assists. Margaret and Molly both wore Margaret's mother's jewellery.

At 2:40 she glimpsed into the mirror and smiled. She looked beautiful. Molly kept saying "you look like a princess".

Ready and so happy

At 3pm I left the girls at the house and headed to West Perth where the ceremony would take place.

I met Peter's daughters and took their photo. Such pretty girls also.

I met Peter and straight away liked him. A fabulous guy. I was now feeling so excited for them both.

At 4:40 Margaret arrived at the Ross Memorial Church.  Her Dad walked her down the isle, Pete looked incredibly emotional. It was very moving.

Couldn't help but take a few photos of this little fella. I have a soft spot for little red haired boys and this one in particular was so cute.

The McNeil family.

The reception was so much fun. Margaret and Peter were happy to be reunited with their friends and family after a short photo shoot. Thanks for including me in your post wedding celebrations Margaret & Pete, it was so kind of you. That food was amazing and I loved your idea of making your guests draw a picture of how they saw the day unfold.

I adore this father and son moment so much. This was taken after he won the best drawing prize. This is just what fathers do when they are proud of their sons. Classic head rub. I  LOVE  IT!!!

Requiring attention perhaps?

This was the funniest thing I have EVER heard. Your funny and kind friends are a direct reflection on you both.

You both smiled all night.

Don't know why, but I just really like this photo. Robbie looks like he is in big trouble.
