Like every other Tom, Dick & Harry - I am doing a three sixty five photo project this year. I really had no intention of doing one until I saw this (rather plain) but very gorgeous book at Kikki.K. Seeing this red journal in the shops, all ready to go, along with recieving my first ever annual family book in the post (from Blurb), inspired me to get printing my photos more often. I take photos so often of our life here anyway - heck this should be a breeze right???? I had intentions of pushing myself with this project, meaning I would try new things out. I knew I was going to shoot all my photos "portrait" so they would fit perfectly into the journal - that has been a little challenging at times but not that difficult really. So far the only new thing I have done is take photos underwater. I am still finding my photos look relatively unchanged from 2012. February will see me get up close and personal with my subjects again. I will be trying to shoot my subjects tight again. I use to shoot all my portraits tight (up close) which I loved - but I made a conscious effort late last year to take a step back and include more background in my images, as it can help to tell a story with more of the background included in the shot. I will be having to retrain my brain to get the images I want - it might mean I also shoot my 365 project photos with my older crop sensor camera, which will allow me to get in closer to my subjects with the lenses I already own. Maybe February will see me buy a macro lens????? Anyway - here is my January portion of my 365 photo project.............
