Happy second birthday sunshine!!!

As far as birthdays go Noah had a ripper. I have put up some photos of the best bits.

Even though there was excitement galore and way too many presents to play with Noah still wanted to get out and about on his farm and do what he does every other day. He pottered around the sheds, visited Frank the sheep, collected the eggs, checked the rain gauge and sat in the tractors.

"Pigs in mud cake" Richard said they looked more like pink mice!

The anticipation waiting for the cake. We told Noah he had to wait until Roger got back and then he could have some cake. It was all a bit too much for Noah and he found it hard to contain himself.

"I know let's eat the cake NOW!"

Nanna Dee bought Noah this awesome jeep. She said she got it at a bargain price so that it why she spoilt him rotten this year!

Noah loves his new red trike

Opening his present from Aunty Erin and family
Richard, Noah and I were in our PJs until lunchtime playing with duplo. We had such a good morning inside putting all the new Duplo together. Noah has quite a large collection now and he is just starting to get right into it. We are hoping he will play with it for years to come and maybe one day he will have a sibling to play with rather than just Mum & Dad. I remember Blake and I played with our Duplo together for years.

Richard at his best. PSYCHO

Doing stuff with Nanna Dee

Nanna Dee and Rog stayed with us for the weekend. Noah absolutely adores both of them and when they are not with us he is always asking for them. My Mum takes time to do so many great things with Noah. This weekend she taught him how to climb trees (thanks for that!), she took him for walks around the farm to explore and they also went golf ball hunting. We are so lucky that Noah has so many wonderful grandparents who all love him so much!

Making pizzas together
I sent Mum and Noah out to the cubby house with a box of screw drivers and told them to do some fixing; instead they did some cooking.....Sausages apparently!

Having a cuddle and milk with Nana Dee. Bottle time is still a special time for Noah. He loves it and so do we so I guess the bottle thing will be around for a while longer yet!!!

New slide

These photos were taken to show Nanna & Pa Carnaby what Tonka toy to buy next for Noah's birthday. They have been buying him Tonkas since he was born. In the photos you can also see Noah's new slide which was suppose to be for his birthday but Richard gave it to him early. Noah hates his new slide. He chucks all his cooking things and trucks down the slide but he won't use it himself.

"It's sore"

While @ Nanna Dee's house Noah had a little fall and he hurt his knee. I didn't actually see it but Nanna Laurel was with him so she convinced Noah to put a band-aid on it and move on.

Last night in the shower Noah saw the band-aid and then remembered just how sore his knee was. He demanded the band-aid be taken off, then back on, then off, then on and so on. I eventually persuaded him to put a Play School band-aid on after his shower and he was not happy. Noah was hysterical meanwhile Richard and I were laughing. I think the photos below sum up just how funny we thought it was. Check out the baby graze... What a DRAMA QUEEN!

My little egomaniac

Noah spent nearly an hour watching old footage of himself.

Toffee apple

Nanna Dee gave Noah this toffee apple along with a serious obsession with the song "Toffee Apple" by Peter Coombes. We have to watch the video on YouTube about 20 times a day. Thanks Mum.

Mulesing

For the benefit of those who don't know what mulesing is : A skilled surgical task that involves the removal of strips of wool-bearing skin from around the buttocks of a sheep. All I have to say about the whole mulesing debate is that it is not the most pleasant thing to watch but it is (for the moment) a necessary procedure to prevent fly strike. I guess you could compare it to child immunisation (although maybe a little more painful): a bit of pain now to prevent suffering and disease later on. If you have seen or smelt a sheep suffering from fly strike you would most definitely think mulesing is a good idea.

I sheltered Noah from watching the actual procedure but he was really happy to play in the lamb catching pen for an hour.

Eat your heart out Jasper Giles

Noah walked so far with this mob of sheep. I didn't think he would ever wonder off that far. The lambs with the red bloody butts had just been mulesed. Recovery is often quick and the cold weather really helps.
