These are the things I simply do not want to forget about Noah at this age.......
He still has an incredibly short attention span for a child of his age. Noah will literally bounce between 6 different activities within 20 minutes. I am the silly one who has catered to this behaviour by always doing what he asks. I feel an incredible amount of guilt that he has no one else to play with here - or fight with!
He comes to me all day saying "I know what cat starts with, I know what sand starts with, I know what bat starts with" blah, blah, blah. Obviously his teachers at school are doing a good job teaching him his sounds. Noah has also told me what some of the swear words start with - how fabulous!!!
His Dad taught him to count to 100. He always forgets the numbers with 5 in them - 35, 45, 55 etc. His Dad also taught him our home phone number. I tried to teach him it once before and he threw the biggest tantrum and protest over it. Funny how Dads can get away with some things easier than Mum can.
He swallowed a piece of Lego about a week ago and is yet to see it in his poo. He was checking all the time for the first 3 days but I think he has forgotten now, which is a good thing.
He talks so much like his Dad these days but he sleeps exactly like me. He sleeps on his tummy with both hands under his pillow with his neck twisted awkwardly to the side. He puts a spare pillow under his leg, which is tucked up on a 90 degree angle. Unlike me, Noah sleeps with a variety of soft toys. The flavour of the month is Boo www.facebook.com/Boo & a rabbit we brought back from Bali.
He is soooo into conforming. He wants to be like all the other kids and not be different at all. It is KILLING me, because like most Mums, I want my child to be an individual. I guess it is part of being a kid - wanting to be like your peers. I guess we are lucky that the kids in Tammin are all pretty sweet, so I guess if he wants to be like them, then its a good thing - I hope he will however continue to think for himself & make his own decisions regarding his behaviour, likes & dislikes.
He loves being with his Dad way more than being with me at the moment. He is much nicer to me when his Dad is not around.
He has given up on riding his bike to the bus stop. He has decided it is too far and too hard. He is still pretty lazy at four and three quarters.
He loves playing down at the dry creek bed near our house. He will often take both dogs down there and play all sorts of wonderful imaginary games with them. Noah has a fabulous imagination. He often plays wrestling with both the dogs. We are incredibly lucky that both dogs have beautiful temperaments.
He is a gaming master on my iPhone. He is obsessed. I have put a passcode back onto my phone to try and curb this habit.
Still is naked most of the time.
Acts like an old woman most of the time.
He has a bad habit of stealing icy poles out of the freezer and eating them quietly before his Dad & I get out of bed.
He alternates between being extremely helpful (aka Mummy's special little cleaning guy) and downright unaccommodating of my desires to have a clean house. This also applies to his upkeep of the cubby house. Some days he goes all out and makes the cubby look immaculate, but most days it looks like a cyclone has whizzed right through.
He isn't enjoying Playgroup at the moment - he protests that he doesn't want to go, but once he gets there he is happy to play with his little mate Mitch.
Drawing and art activities can go take a jump at the moment :(
For the most part Noah actually thinks he is a ninja.
For the most part he is awesome.
All the time we love him just the way he is.

taking a leap
I am in the process of having some of my images printed to art gallery standard and framed, ready for exhibition. It is terrifying but also exciting. Having your images scrutinised by someone who knows a thing or two about photography scares the life out of me. I guess I still feel like a fraud in this business - I need the guidance, constructive criticism, or praise of industry professionals to feel valid; to feel like I have really earned my spot in the portrait taking business. No matter how great or how crap my images look in comparison to others entered isn't really that important to me - but the chance to receive feedback from the judges is important and something I will hopefully gain growth from.
I have been dealing with the nicest and most efficient guy for most of the afternoon. If anyone is interested in fine art prints then I highly recommend Paul Jarvis from www.pauljarvis.com.au
His prices are competitive with other printing businesses in Perth, including Fitzgeralds, however he offers a more bespoke, personal service. I am oh so happy with the service I have received today & I just wanted to share xx
Oh & the photo of my photos is compliments of Paul Jarvis.

A couple of weekends in Perth + a Monday morning before Kindy
My Mum got savaged by a rabbit at the Cuddly Animal Farm in the Swan Valley - it was a bit funny :)
CUDDLY - YEAH RIGHT!!!!
I made Noah come with me to the Picturing New York Photographic exhibition at the Perth Art Gallery - he hated it.........
but he liked the ice-cream I bribed him with
Bonnie has learnt a new trick
We have really enjoyed the new fountains in Perth city this Summer, - appropriately titled "Appearing Rooms." It is nice to have something fun for the kids to do while in the city.
Chair collectors paradise
Knock, knock "Hi Dee"
Morning coffee run before Kindy - it's probably a good thing Tammin doesn't have coffee shops.
